MG3K Rare Cards from the Limited Edition

The rare cards shown here shipped one or two in each MG3K Starter Deck or character booster. Rare cards did not ship in other boosters. Cards are shown without their passes (holes). The real cards have black borders.

Please note that these cards only work with the Limited Edition and some of these cards have been redesigned and reissued for the National Edition. However, use may have changed.

The elusive Chocolate Grace card is the most rare of all rare cards randomly inserted. Rarity rating is 1 per 1000. Chocolate Grace is an Instant card (for advanced play). It grants +2 to a movement roll but only one time. It's then discarded. The card is kept in the player's Instant stack.

Grrl Presence is a bit of a joke card and it's the second-most rare card. The image is my personal icon on the MG3K Forum. The card is an Instant that grants minus two from all attack rolls. It's an Instant. Pretty good card, really. Remember, though, that you can only draw six Instants out of your personal Instant stack at a time. Rarity is 19 per 1000.

Motorcycle Z1000 is another +2 Grace card (like Chocolate Grace) but this one works the whole game--an Instant brought into play from your Instant stack--and can be passed from character to character. The only trick is that the +2 to movement only works on soil, grass or road terrain. No boost is granted on any other terrain. Rarity is 58 per 1000. This is a glimpse into the forthcoming transportation booster.

There are seven different Chameleon cards but the graphic is the same on each -- the attractive reptile to the left. These cards allow a character to have a revolving secondary Skill. Instead of adding a secondary Skill to your character with a card from the advanced play Skill Booster, add your Chameleon. Chameleon grants two different secondary Skills. Each turn, rotate the Chameleon to switch between the two secondary choices. Your character can still only choose one of his or her two visible Skills per turn but every turn you have a different mix to choose from.

Chameleon Vanish Key, Chameleon Presence Vanish, and Chameleon Key Lead are the most rare with a 58 per 1000 rarity rating. Chameleon Presence Grace, Chameleon Presence Key, Chameleon Vanish Lead, and Chameleon Lead Grace are the most common of the rare cards with 187 per 1000 rarity rating... though, super rare or not, they pack an excellent punch in game play.

It is important to mention that Chameleons are not Instant cards. They are never included in your Instant stack. They are secondary Skill cards and they begin the game (and stay) with a single character.

Did you know that for every official MG3K tournament a different rare card is issued? These rares are available to tournament participants and directly to players in limited quantities. See these and other rare cards here.
